Biography
A runty young wolf, with a tendency to become lost in thought. His parents named him with disfavour and felt he was too far removed from reality to help their pack survive.
Wuros' name means: Self-centered, gullible, full of useless wisdom, a pretty face with nothing to show for it. This shocks the pack, as giving a pup such a negative name is nearly unheard of in wolf society.
Some of the other wolves have taken to calling him by the nickname that Yierrit uses for him, "Auhos" (Aw-hoss), meaning: Lively and trusting, a little bit dense, but pretty
Quohau'ru idolises him a little, a sucker for his unusually soft fur and uncommon colouration. He often tells her stories, as well as his 'important' thoughts, but easily loses focus and forgets what he was saying. Wuros admires her greatly, respectfully calling her Ji-Hau or Ji-Hau'ru, only serving to make her more enamoured with the young male.
Despite being the wolf equivalent of a himbo, Wuros loves to walk, and makes for a decent scout. He says it gives him time for his thoughts, and even though he struggles to clearly relay information, he often manages to stay on task enough to remember all the important things.
Year 2: He initially tried to strike up a conversation with the pack's apprentice herbalist, Yierrit. In Wuros's birth pack, the word "surprise" is considered an expletive, so it was interesting to find a wolf with another 'unfortunate' name meaning. Yierrit soon cleared things up, explaining that it was more neutral than it appeared, and that he didn't mind having a more unusual name.
Wuros soon became fast friends with the young herbalist. Both wolves are easygoing and find joy in the little things. You can often find them talking together, over the latest unusual rock or odd-shaped twig. The scout especially enjoys telling Yierrit (and Quohau'ru) all about his scouting adventures.
Quohau'ru was the first wolf to find Wuros at the edge of their territory, with him assuming that she was roaming as part of her yearling ceremony. "Ji-Hau'ru" becomes confused at both the odd name Wuros calls her, as well as the concept of a "yearling ceremony", something her parents have kept her sheltered from.
After a few secret meet-ups, Wuros is taken to meet Xaasa and Ourkan. Hau announces him as her mate, drawing shocked gasps from the older wolves. They take him aside and grill him about his upbringing, and, after a short meeting amongst themselves, Xaasa welcomes him as a scout, and declares a feud with Wuros's birth pack.
Wuros initially takes this badly, but after talking with his mate, he comes to the conclusion that he will never see his family again, and therefore it doesn't matter.
Year 3/4: Au-hos, Yierrit and Quo all raise pups together, their bond stronger than ever. Most don't stay but one, Baurah, becomes a stalker for the pack.
Quohau'ru is hit hard by her Auntie's deaths, and Yierrit by the death of his mother. Tensions are already running high from the poaching of Eyarq, and Au-hos does his best to distract them.
Year 5/6: Au-hos retires from scouting due to poor health. He becomes a mentor to young pups and spends his spare time relaxing with his family and friends, and almost becomes a surrogate leader for the pack (until Yai gets his act together). Ourkan and Au-hos become closer friends, and reminisce about their scouting days.
Year 7: Au-hos spends more and more time with his grand-pups and mates, especially after Ourkan passes peacefully in his sleep. Yierrit makes him remedies for his aches using his herbalism knowledge, allowing Au-hos to have a relatively peaceful and stress-free retirement.
He and Quo try for one final litter, however none of the pups decide to stay in the pack. This leads them to dote on their daughters (Sa'outh and Ta'ie'ou) and grandsons (Yaafsai and Kerrick). Yierrit regrets not having adopted pups of his own, but all of Quo's lineage remind him that they consider him another parent/grandparent, making him very happy. The family can often be seen taking walks to the sub-pack with Huth to visit Quo's siblings and cousins.
