Lament

Lament is the child of a dagari clan badly afflicted by disease and age, his parent dying of a cardiovascular problem just after he was born and leaving him to his ahoaniu father. The young pup was raised up strong, his father encouraging masculinity that Lament never kept up as he aged; though he seemed that way first to Moon Tears when they met at the river that parted their territories. He stuck by her side, time after time in a respect for her confidence and determination. After their embark in adolescence, they parted ways; but longingly so, and Lament spent his time apart in their natal mountains where he learned more then ever to be true to himself and what he wanted; which meant going after Moon Tears.
His heart nearly imploded when she was waiting for him by the stream. She approached him with a kiss under the chin and a quiet confession; and he followed her with tail high back into the forests.

Lament acts as the clan hearth, a found friend or guardian to all who need his guidance and support; with wisdom beyond his years. He is pacifistic, sweet, and relaxed. He loves Moon Tears, bound to her past the departure of death, and harbors no illness at her orientation as an ahoaniu herself, being quite companionable to her other mates. Even if they both have their needed positions in their found clan, he misses the days when the two of them played endlessly, unbothered in the woods by the stream where they usually met.
