Chance

Chance was born of a complicated litter. With her mother giving birth prematurely, there had been no time to nest. Lena, the herbalist at the time, tried her best to safely deliver the puppies only to find that they were already dead. Chance was mistaken as being dead as well, but showed signs of life after a few minutes. However, she was extremely small and her cleft lip made it hard for her to eat. Lena speculated that they could only make it a week at most. It was a rough week, but Chance managed to pull through and began to grow quite quickly.

Being a "miracle puppy," Chance tends to think they're invincible, even though she's been proven wrong time and time again. As a pup, she wandered off frequently and would disappear for days on end, much to the concern of their parents. As such, she has always been fascinated with scouting. Though, their parents tried to persuade them not to, she took the scouting position the moment it was offered to her. They are very much of the mentality that "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and love to push the limits of what she can do. Chance just loves life. The sound of the running brook, the smell of autumn, the feel of dirt beneath their paws. Having fully lost their eyesight during her adolescence, they rely mainly on hearing and smell to navigate. She is always in tune with their environment and are very familiar with the expanse of Blight Wolf territory as well as that of their sister pack, Aka Tsuki.

When Gamete first saw her, they immediately took a liking to the spunky pup, and made her their protégé, hoping that one day she would lead the pack. Chance had never considered the offer too seriously, until Gamete mysteriously went missing. She had expected Vitania or Kova to take over in his stead, but when they ceded the role to her, she felt she couldn't refuse. As lead, Chance is often uncertain, but she does her best. As such, they've instated the help of Syenite, Kilo, and Elias, who although young, have much to bring to Blight Wolf Pack. And though she's not a negligent leader, they leave much of the leadership duties to their council, preferring to explore or spend time with her mate Sonny.
