The deal had been that Lycan could stay until Nym was 6 months and old enough for them to survive on their own. The pack couldn't afford more mouths to feed, but were generous enough to not send them out to catch their death. Issue was, by the time Nym drew nearer to 6 months of age, her and Versailles had become inseparable by nature. They weren't blood siblings, but they were litter mates in every form of the word. The bond they formed wasn't just of love, it was of kinship too. No one had the heart to separate them..and no one had the heart to separate Lycan from his daughter either. Nym had always talked about forming her own pack, adopting stray puppies like herself...keeping families together. What she hadn't expected was having to do it on such bad terms.
