Uiya

- Is quiet and does as she's told most of the time

- Hates it when her sister and cousin fight

- Doesn't think she can stand up for herself or others

- Reluctantly follows Eyarq for playtime, even though her sister pushes her around and doesn't let her win any games

- The smallest of Tanana's puppies

- Loves Berouthe and her mother the most, as they both stand up for her if she is getting pushed around too much.

- She only does chores to make her mother proud, as she secretly hates doing anything except playing with her younger cousins

Name means: A trusting, good-natured wolf, who can be a perfectionist at times

Year 2: Uiya formed a hunting party with her siblings and cousins, but also took on the secondary role of pack storyteller. It is her job to remember important events and tell cautionary or inspiring tales to pack pups. She is assisted by her cousin Yierrit, who swaps between being a part-time herbalist, and a part-time pupsitter, as needed.

During adolescence Uiya always insisted she was a girl, and her family had no problems referring to her as such. However, newer members of the pack have been confused by the apparent incongruity. This led to fights between Berouthe and some of the younger wolves.

Uiya decided to take a stand, explaining to her brother that she is now old enough to look after herself, something Berouthe respected and admired. In turn, she explained herself to the younger wolves, and warned there would be consequences for purposefully antagonising a senior member of the pack.

Soon after, another young wolf, Kasba, came to her asking if would be alright to be treated as male, or if it was only male wolves who could be female on the inside. Despite the initial ignorance, Uiya was happy to find a wolf with a similar experience, and decided she would protect Kasba at all costs, acting as an older sibling towards him.
