Chessie has worked beside Interlude since it was decided a new pack was the best path. She served as moral support for Interlude's anxiety and kept him grounded in time to form the pack which resembled his moral compass. She had his first two pups, Largo and Allegro and decided she enjoyed raising them, offering herself as a mentor and consistently using her prowess to tutor the young.

Over time, Chessie has grown more distant from Interlude. She is increasingly temperamental with him because she feels that her sole use in the first spring was working as a crutch. Interlude struggles to comprehend exactly how Chessie feels used, and communication between them has become unsteady.

In the end, Chessie was loved and honored by all of her pack and is mourned sincerely.
