Interlude is the first Alpha of his pack, and strives to hold a legacy forever. Although the highest rank, the respect he demands from his subordinates is kept mutual. He is usually anxious and unsteady, but can hold his ground for long intervals. He is loved dearly by his mates, Chessie and Bouvier. He has had two biological children with Chessie and adopted two daughters with Bouvier, raising them together as a group of three.
After some years of expanding the pack into a prosperous coalition, Chessie grew more distant. She told Interlude her harrows of being his crutch, quite brusquely. He couldn't quite understand why she would admit it after several years, and he remained hushed, contrite, confused. He disclosed this to Bouvier, given all three were part of the relationship. Bouvier has remained silent on the issue, hoping not to get involved.
