Ambercloud

Ambercloud had been a lone wolf, a Wanderer, for what seemed like eons. While it had only been the few short months of isolation typical of a dispersal wolf, it felt more like years. Eight? Ten? More?

She dreams sometimes of a vast prairie where she runs with other wolves, taking down elk not as a Leader but as a mere member. When she awakes, and looks at her dense forest home and her mate, Aspenshadow, curled up at her side, the puzzle pieces don't seem to fit. Is this a memory? A prophecy?

She does not know, and will not ask Snort of the Brown Bear, the Herbalist, even though the spirits may give him some insight. Some things are better left to fate.
