Felicity, The Claw
Felicity was a prideful girl.
"Yeah, mom is bat guano crazy, and dad is depressed, pessimistic and stressed - they're so stressed, but that has nothing to do with me."
"I'm going to prove to all of them how awesome I am. They won't question me."
Louis, an older male, caught her attention with his startling white eyes.
"I mean, I know plenty of the pack wolves are Pale Eyes. There's Rhyme and Yurei and Sage. He is not special."
His easy-going personality had her gripped firm. Louis had no problem accepting any task, and did not cause trouble. A worthy mate, though... clearly Felicity was not sharing these notes with anyone. For a time, she was far too busy to consider more than his tail...
Her first few months as leader were met with saying farewell to many fine hunters of the Snow Hearts. Felicity celebrated their time serving the collective by a feast which lasted through the winter months. They brought down a struggling elk herd leading into the fierce onset of winter, and made it through even though Yurei and Felicity were kept busy dealing with outbreaks of Fleas and Ticks, among other things, but mostly Fleas and Ticks. Even the new hunters faced difficulty outside of their burrows - Open Wounds were afflicting them. And still, the Snow Hearts pressed on.
Felicity and Louis grew apart, his scouts past the northern border when not looking after the next generation proving too much for a bond. Felicity was occupied keeping encroaching packs at bay, and not a few bears, too. The collective believed in their leader.
She found herself consistently in the company of Quick Claws, a pup Felicity felt was more a brother than a lover. The older and more somber Felicity became, the easier to recognize the opportunity between her paws. He, too, did not shrink away from bears, despite neither her nor him being strong wolves: they were more agile, reactive rather than burly and bulky. Again and again, Quick Claws was at Felicity's side...
The steadfast company of Quick Claws became integral to Felicity as the Collective split. She had decided to be open with the pack regarding certain choices, and it had not ended well. Two additional factions arose, more than happy to leave once Felicity was honest with them. She held no one back from leaving, which included Leon. He had his own reasons, and Felicity did not begrudge him his freedom.
Luckily, not everyone felt the desire to leave. Honesty may be too much to bear, but for some it is the pillar with which to rally. Felicity continued to look to Quick Claws as a swift, always available source of comfort. As she humbled, it was clear who was to be the leader's mate. No ceremony needed; they lead the pack as one.
Felicity learned to rely upon the strength of others for reasons beyond the physical. The strength of Ahdi, for instance, who knew how to paint with words. Arazi and Hazelnut too, whom were unafraid to lend their voices in song or in respectful disagreement. Even with Digger and Sprinkles, Felicity found allies. They were the source of her straightforward declaration to the Snow Hearts prior to the division, both as knowledge bearers and counsel. The pack had not been told of their ghostly generations (none but Felicity's child, Stormbolt, were ever informed).
The only challenge remaining, after a time, was parenthood... Stormbolt, like Consideration, did not have their parent for long after they reached adolescence. Felicity was able to provide Stormbolt with much wisdom as Consideration did for her. Consideration was only a harsher claw than her mother, after all. Nevertheless, Felicity was glad their family's leadership duties were passed on to Ioa.
Second born of five puppies; two stoic, two aggressive, one romantic; only one male. She was four stats under the largest pup, and nine above the runt.

I suppose I can mention she popped onto the leader-boards after the deaths of the wolves at over 2,000 stat totals. Aside from the main one, she appeared on Speed and Agility, usually maintaining a position higher on Speed than on Agility. None of this was really on purpose, and I stopped trying once she became picante (pregnant). I should also note the three RO/days prior to picante, it seemed to me like the combat encounters were avoiding poor Felicity, two of which were during that heat.
