Streamripple was a keen little girl who liked to give advice. If a sibling was unsure, she was always the one whispering good counsel in their ear. When her siblings were arguing, she was always the one who found the solution. She seemed much wiser than her years but didn't seem to know how special that was. Her pupsitter Lightningflash noticed her wisdom and thought that she'd be a great stalker on a hunting team. Stream's mother Sweetfur was very proud that her daughter was the wisest in the nursery.

At the Academy, Stream studied Wisdom and Smarts with her sister Firelight. They learned how to track prey, cooperate, and recognize danger. Proper howling and killing were essential too. And good manners, of course. The cooperation lesson was Stream's favorite because she instinctively understood what could be accomplished when wolves work together. She also chose to study Speed and learned how to hide, which was a useful skill for a future stalker.

During her apprenticeship, Stream watched her mother to learn exactly what being a stalker was all about. And it was harder than she would have guessed. Natural wisdom and good training only go so far. Actually following complex trails, understanding the movements of the prey, and predicting its likely path are a lot to learn. Stream realized that it would take years of practice to get good at it. Solving little squabbles between her siblings was nothing compared to this. There was a lifetime of learning ahead of her and she was ready for it.

Now as an adult, Stream is still the advice giver and peacemaker among the Pack. There's no conflict she can't resolve, no problem she can't guide a packmate to solve. Her stalking work is the center of her life though and she takes it seriously. She shuns fermented barley and anything that would dull her faculties. She needs to be sharp all the time to pick up on issues within the pack and changes to hunting patterns.
