Yierrit the Story-Teller

Year 1: A weaker puppy than his siblings. He seems to have little awareness of the dangers around him, despite being barely able to keep up with his sisters.

Yierrit was close to deaths door before being saved by his aunt. He still has a poor immune system, and despite his recovery it's likely he'll be unable to hunt.

Name means: The wolf word for "surprise". Comprised of sounds meaning lucky, shock, confrontation, precise, unusual

Year 2: When meeting Wuros for the first time, the strange wolf tried to bond with him over a shared misfortune in the meaning of their names. Yierrit was initially confused, as his mother named him "surprise" in the hopes that he would learn his craft well, and continue to beat the odds.

After the initial misunderstanding, and learning that where Wuros comes from his name is considered a bad word, both became fast friends.

Yierrit also assists his cousin Uiya as pack storyteller, spending time as a pupsitter in order to teach the younger generations the history of the pack. He has a sharp eye for detail, and between the two they manage to keep a very accurate record.

Over time, Yierrit has become an easy-going youngster, with little bothering the apprentice herbalist. His older pack members, especially Aruthe, wonder if he's taking things a little too easy, but overall they're very proud of his progress.
