Marsh Reed was found in the Mossy Hollow territory during the events of Coigreach, he wasn't a pup but he certainly wasn't an adult yet, he was found with Tall Sedge and Dappled Leaves. Reed was standing in front of the two younger wolves, he kept his body between them and the approaching wolves, head down and ears back as a big brown female wolf slowly walked up to them. She made it clear she didn't mean any harm, he kept his guard up but simply watched as she approached.
He could see the tension in the group, the brown female introduced herself as Cub and asked who they were. He said they were just passing through, that they didn't mean any harm and they certainly hadn't meant to be on their territory. Cub easily saw through his attempt to sound casual and calm, tension rippled through his fur and he was very thin.
After discussing with who Reed later learned were Chalcedony and Starlit Pond, Cub told Reed that if he wished he could stay there and she would bring him and his companions a good meal. He looked over Sedge and Dapple and agreed, they needed a meal, he didn't have the option to turn this down.
