Biography
"I do not know how this happened," Rat rasped to his mate, Ashes.
The two wolves looked out over their camp in fear and sorrow, observing the "wolves" of blue and green and purple. Just a few moons prior, the pack had consisted of entirely local wolves, until these mysterious newcomers appeared. More and more joining, so quickly its as if they... fell right out of the sky. And with their arrival, the departure of all their former pack members, with no warning and no explanation. Rabbit's Foot Pack has been overrun.
Rat was dying. And more than anything he feared for the safety of his Ashes. With him gone, there would be no one left to protect him. And if he was anything like the others, he would not be able to protect himself.
"Promise me you'll run. When I'm gone—"
"Don't," He interrupted.
"It's going to happen my love; there is no use ignoring the obvious. Listen," He went on. "When I'm gone, run far, far away. I don't know what they are, but they are not canine, and they do not uphold the code. You are not safe here, we know this. Go south, as far south as you can. Promise me."
"I promise," Ashes Ashes replied.
But it was too late. Ashes Ashes was gone a few weeks later, and Rat was left here alone, in mourning.
