Jinx

Jinx does not recall her first pack, her first family, her first litter. She remembers running, being in pain, in heat, and then waking up in a clearing, no memories of what happened, and with pups.

Jinx makes herself a den and gives birth to two pups, both male, and names them. Ranger and Heracles. Noble names for noble pups. Until they run and she meets Nanook, wandering through what she's claimed to be her territory. He greets her with kindness and she falls, swiftly, and the next thing she knows, she has a pack with him, and nearing the birth of his pups.

She is safe here, with this pack, the first seven gone now, all lost to time and age, and she knows she is safe with Nanook caring for her. She vows to be a better leader than those who hurt her packmates.
