Harvey

Born in the second litter of The Sanctuary Pack. 

Mothers: Rover (birth), Seven (adopted)

Father: Finch (surrogate)

Like his sister, Harvey is apparently named for a dog his mother used to know. Rover says that his namesake was a german shepherd, almost as fierce as a wolf, who led the pack of strays (well, until Rover stepped in to overthrow him, of course). Pack Leader Seven laughs at this story, and nudges Rover with her nose until Rover gives into the tickling, and ends the tale mid-telling. 

With one birth-sister, and two adopted siblings in Eight and Rime, Harvey shouldn't feel lonely. But he can't help noticing the way Fincher, Seven, and even kind old Saturn laugh at his mom's stories. They seem so sure she's making things up. But why shouldn't his mom be telling the truth? Why couldn't she have led a pack of feral dogs, and escaped from a zoo (whatever that is), and stolen food from a man's kitchen? 

Harvey tends to fight with his denmates, a little, about this. Even Bella- who agrees with him- says he's being too serious, and the other pups exclude him from their games.
