Juni, Kittaning, and Mokin all arrived to Wapiti Run on their own. They'd heard by word of mouth from loud blue jays and peepers that there was a wolf pack that walked in unity with the Elk. They were alone and had been alone for some time. Juni had convinced them to go, begging and pleading obnoxiously to convince them that they needed a pack to help them, but Mokin was afraid. The last time they had attempted to join a pack, she had fallen in with a bad influence. She was too adventurous, too eager to allow him to come on walks with her. She thought he loved her. But when she became pregnant, the three of them were forced out, declaring them too many mouths to feed.
Mokin reluctantly lived at Wapiti Run, but she stuck to herself. She watched as her friends easily became attached to the life and wolves there. But each day as she grew more round, she became more afraid. A wolf who had recently joined after them, named Maxon, started to come and talk to her each day. He told her about the day, about his time hunting, and practically talked her ear off. But he was sweet and kind and he brought her enough food each day to feed her and her pups growing inside her.
Now, she is not far off from giving birth and she confided in Maxon one day that she is terrified to be a lone mother. To her surprise, Maxon told her that he would be there with her to help her, as would the Pack, of course. She has found herself growing more and more fond of him as time passes. Finally, the night arrived where the labor pains came and she asked Maxon to stay by her side for it. He did and was there when she gave birth to her daughter, Mesho. She asked him then to be her mate and a father for her daughter and to her delight, he agreed happily.
Now that Mesho has left the nest and started to find her own place in the Pack, she hopes to perhaps have more pups, this time with a wolf who truly loves her back. They go on to have Alax and Eho, then Neyoti and Chitanesu. Mokin would not be against more pups, though she hopes to soon retire from hunting, since there are so many young pups eager to start hunting for the Pack.
