Sioto was born on the edges of Wapiti Run, raised by her mother, who she only knew as 'Mother', before she was left once weaned. She stayed there, waiting for Mother's return, when Dioute found her. He had found her mother hours prior, dead at the paws of a bear. She went with him, but she didn't quite understand that Mother was dead.
After some time, she understood that she was part of something bigger now. She trained loyally with her packmates and did all that she could to help out the wolves at Wapiti Run. She has a slight crush on Conoco, but because he is always out scouting and doesn't notice a lot of other wolves when he's home, she often avoids talking to him. One day, she met a wolf outside the borders and as a result of her lonely heart, she stayed with him. When she returned to the pack, she discovered she was pregnant.
She gave birth to Quippa. Conoco came to her one day, carrying a young orphan puppy found on the territory. Because he was the one who asked, she took her in and named her Ahela. Both have weaned now and she remains busy for the pack, though manages to keep a close eye when she can on her two pups. Sinnema, one of Sioto's huntingmates and friends, recently admitted to her that Ilau wasn't Pyma's son, but Conoco's. Sioto found herself growing quietly resigned with the fact that Conoco wasn't really an option for her, especially since it seemed that he wasn't interested in a permanent mate (Tikaani, Sinnema).
She found herself drawn to Nishiwe instead, who was not necessarily loving, but spoiled her and was willing to give her puppies. She became his mate, even if they aren't necessarily very close. She condemns the stupid things he says and does, and she often wishes things had been different. They produced a daughter, Nisco, which Nishiwe was less than pleased with, but Sioto adores and gives her life to tirelessly. Quippa is less than pleased as well, but only due to the nature of her family ties.
It is deep in the heart of winter that a she-wolf Seshem and her pup Kiolao arrived in the Pack. Sioto immediately knew that the pup was Nishiwe's. He'd spent many nights roaming the land and she had naively believed that he was exercising his legs. It appalled her and several others that Seshem was so young and that Nishiwe had broken their own bond ties. Sioto has been left with uncertainty, anger, and frustration at her lot in life. She desperately wants to break her bond with Nishiwe, sick of being unloved, but she hasn't had the chance, too focused on taking care of Nisco and her reaction to focus on her failed relationship with the older wolf. Quippa has been a great shoulder for her mother and always snaps when Nishiwe tries to come near. A great amount of tension rests on the Pack due to this.
When Sioto discovered she was pregnant again by Nishiwe, she decided she had enough. She broke their bond, an act unheard of in Wapiti Run. Both were negatively affected by this and though she was advised against it surprisingly by Quippa since she was about to give birth, she was adamant in being finished with Nishiwe. Instead, she plans on raising whatever pups she has alone, bitter with love.
After the death of Nishiwe, Sioto never felt more at ease. She plans on raising their daughter without his influence or story, instead relying on Quippa and Nisco for help with their sister. She has decided that though she has had a rough go at love, she has enough love from her family to keep her content.
