Biography
Arnit's ears twitch as he looked around.
He had caught the scent of an elk herd. It was faint though, meaning they were far. He shook his head and continued onward though. Hunting wasn't his role. He padded through the unfamiliar undergrowth. His task was just as important as the hunters. He was to determine if this territory was safe to explored for his leader. He had to make sure there were no naked tall standers lurking. Of course there were other dangers, but he had seen the amount of damage those strange creatures had done to other wolves.
The damage those tall naked beings was far worse than any couger or bear.
That's why he had been so adament about being a scout. He wanted to make sure his leader was safe enough to do her own adventuring and to discover the little secrets of the territories that he explored and couldn't uncover.
He wasn't as detail oriented as she, therefore he didn't usually pick up herbs or feathers or bones.
He continued padding and weaving through the dense forest but before long, night started to decend onto the unfamiliar forest. That was his que to leave.
Elestren was in charge of watching the pups during the day but even she needed a break from her own precious litter and that's what he enjoyed to do when he wasn't out scouting. They were another reason why scouting was so important. They're so weak and helpless. He remembered when he was a pup.
Those were his golden years, he'd say. Therefore, the pups being safe enough to enjoy their youth was a large factor of why he was so dedicated to his role.
