Carno took over his pack from a cruel alpha male who reigned using the ideology of the strong live, the weak die. Anyone deemed weaker were tossed aside to starve while the perceived strong flourish and went to sleep with their bellies full. Carno was lucky to be born in the ranks of the strong, and favored by the alpha male. Carno was raised to be the next alpha, but he had broken a sacred rule of his alpha's rules just by living. Carno felt no attraction to the female suitors thrown his way, and instead fell for a male whose worth was decided as nothing. As the alpha's health declined, Carno's hate and anger grew into a bubbling mass just under the surface. It came to a boiling point when the alpha male attacked Badger, and Carno quickly intervened, causing himself to be on the receiving end of the alpha's anger. This was when Carno and Badger started plotting a rebellion, wanting to take out the alpha and his most loyal packmates. The ending of this uprising ended in bloodshed with many bodies dead on both sides. The lands the pack lived on suddenly started to die, the grees grass turning shades of brown throughout the seasons until grass stopped growing. Carno had become alpha as the lands mourned the loss of so many wolves, and his first decision was to lead the pack to better lands, where his pack can start a new, with his mats, Badger at his side.
