Biography
BattleBeast
The Battle Beast might throw himself into every fight he can, but he still acts like a little puppy with his squeaky toys. Don't try to take them from him though--unless you want to fight him to the death. Consider yourself special if he deems you worthy of one as a gift.
His obsession with toys perhaps stems from having to take over Endeavor at a young age. He had to grow up fast, but some part of him is still that puppy that never got the chance to finish his puphood.
His sister Lightning calls him Reqqy (wreck-y), because, as she puts it, he likes to wreck things. He wears the nickname proudly, for he truly does like wrecking things--and others. He does care for the pack better than his father, Dirge, however. Having seen his predecessor's paranoia reach extreme heights after the loss of Requiem's mother, Reqqy tries not to be like that. Besides, it never really made sense to him.
The pack is safer with him as lead--perhaps almost too safe, as he kills or drives off anything that dares get close. But there is more unity underneath him, and the undercurrent of tension that had grown under his father's lead has started to ease as the pack gets used to him.
He is not, however, his grandfather--Song. He operates with far less morals and compassion than the founder of the pack.
"You receive a shiny spark, too, but it's the toy that makes you smile the most. It is a fantastic souvenir from this land. You want to show it to everyone in your den. Only show. No share."
Time catches most all things--even Battle Beasts. A few days before his eighth birthday, Reqqie started slowing down. He could feel it. Where just a few days prior he threw himself into battle with the same reckless abandon he had in his youth, he now padded peacefully through the forest with his beloved Mica at his side. She sensed it too, and never left him. They followed scents, dug holes, napped in the sun, but he walked past creatures he had once battled. For once, he was tired. For once, he simply wished to be at his beloved's side. It was during one of their long naps that he slipped away. It was a long time before Mica left his side to return to the pack, however.
