Biography
Mica was always considered plain and unremarkable as she was growing up, but Requiem did not seem to care. Not entirely sure what he sees in her, she cares for him and the rest of the pack in her own, quiet way. Where he is hard, she is soft--a kind word or touch, a sympathetic ear... She lessens the harshness of the leader and bolsters the pack.
It is with Requiem that she lets loose, playing like a puppy once again. None of his toys are off-limits to her, but she takes special care to not take advantage of that privilege. He makes her feel safe and noticed, and it is in his pack that she has been given room to grow and blossom into the wolf she is today.
She is not fully aware of the depths of her influence, nor is she aware of just how well regarded she is within the pack. Because of how deeply she cares about all of the pack, she is often the go between for the pack members to their leader, for it is her soft words and admonishments that bring Requiem in line--any others that dare try face his wrath. In return, she also soothes tempers or hurt feelings when Requiem's decisions ruffle feathers, and she wins the pack over to his plans with choice words.
She sensed a change in Requiem a few days before his eighth birthday. Unwilling to part from him, she went on patrol with him. Simply enjoying his presence, she walked at his side, constantly touching him. Her companion showed no desire for battle in those final days, but when she woke from her nap at his side and he did not stir, she was stricken with grief. Unable to leave him, she stayed at his side for two days before her responsibilities to the pack cut through her sorrow and drove her to her shaky paws. She watched her son take over the pack with pride, but her broken heart never mended, and the loss of Requiem haunted her every step.
