Biography
As the elderly DreamWalker lay within the den, surrounded by his sniffling and mewing puppies and their tired mothers, he calles out to the young and nervous Petal. His gentle, once sharp eyes, are weary and clouding over. 'My Dear Petal, my son has not yet returned and this pack needs someone capable to lead in our absence.'
Petal whimpered in uncertainty, protesting 'Surely someone else in the pack is better suited? I am not even blessed by the two worlds...'
She trailed off her head low and ears flattened, begging Dreamie to reconsider.
The ancient wolf chuckled kindly
'You are the best suited for the task, you may not have the same eyes as the rest, but you are one of us all the same. You have endured the wandering trial just like the rest of us and call the sharpstone pack your home.'
The silver giant lumbered to his feet an eternal tiredness in the way he moved, it was his time and he knew it, his once brilliant coat that shone like the stars itself now laid a ghostly silvery white.
He gently moved the earth at the back of the den to retrieve the sharp black stone that the pack was named and motioned her to follow him out of the den.
His eyes sparkled as he placed the stone Infront of Petal and motioned her to claim the title of alpha by letting the stone bite into her paw and make a print of it next to his and all previous leaders of the pack.
He called to Fanta within the den, asking her to take a walk with him.
He never looked back, the wise and beloved leader.
After a while Petal took a deep breath and followed the ritual, the stone greedily bit into her paw coating it quickly. She placed her paw upon the ever sturdy den that they all called home.
A bittersweet howl broke out through the pack, a loving goodbye to DreamWalker and a warm congratulations to PetalWalker.
May he rest in peace.
