Biography
Mouse
A small wolf from birth she was born to a rouge mother who once she was old enough to fend for herself left her alone.
She was taught by her mother to be strong and tough, to defend herself and hold her heart close and these lessons made her strong but cold and detached.
She spent most of her young life traveling from place to place, settling with small groups of rouges for short periods of time before moving on to the next place, nervous to settle or become close to anyone.
Eventually she found a small group she was fond of, the lead male carefully breaking down her walls until she finally let him him. But it was not in her best interest, he was greedy and she grew tired of his possessiveness quickly, she lashed out only to be chased away and a vow placed that she would never know peace.
The possessive male had a lot more reach than she thought and she spent many moons running and hiding before she traveled far enough to a new land and found Basitans small pack.
She refused to get close, only using them for protection and they respected her need for space calmly. She became a scout and it calmed her need to travel and be alone, she grew fond of the small pack who gave her the respect she had never felt before, who let her be herself.
Soon a young wolf came who Mouse saw herself in, young and reserved but still full of life. She taught her how to fight and protect the pack and in return she got a companion she would eventually see as family. Zodiac and Mouse grew closer and their bond stronger, until the pack would almost see them as one. Love was a fickle and fragile thing, Mouses wounded and batteries soul not being able to take much but Zodiac understood. They stayed together exploring the territory and watching the pack grow from the tree lines on the edge of camp.
Zodiac felt a need for pups and Mouse stayed close by her as she nursed and raised her litter.
But time catches up to all and slowly Zodiac watched Mouse slow and stiffen and knew her time was growing closer. She sat by her love as she grew tired and cherished the small walks and memories they made.
Mouse died next to her mate in a secluded meadow away from camp, it was peaceful as she drifted to sleep the last thing she felt being the run of her mates nose and the smell of her fur against her.
She was mourned silently but heavily by Zodiac and the entire pack and when the greeted again in the afterlife it was a joyous embrace.
