Sunrise gained her name from her love of the sun. She loves to bask in it and is rarely seen in shade or the den. When she was a pup her sitter would often have to drag her inside (as she would wake up early for dawn) so that she didn't get burnt. She continued to do this into adulthood and only came inside the den when she realized she'd been out too long.
