As a puppy of a lone wolf, he had never been accepted in any pack. But then he found Moonstar as an adolescent, injured, confused, and alone. He helped her to survive, and soon discovered his love for her. They gathered up the courage to make themselves a pack, but they did not know what to call it. Ashstone wanted to name it after Moonstar, but she refused, saying it should be named after him. They came to an agreement, and named the pack "Moonpaws", "moon" because Ashstone named half of the name after Moonstar, and "paw" because that's what Ashstone acted as when he first met Moonstar. He was her paws, basically. And now, they lead the Moonpaws together, but because they made an official pack, one of them had to be Alpha. Ashstone reasoned Moonstar should be Alpha, because she was smarter, more agile, and a little more social. Moonstar agreed, and here we are today.
