Biography
When he officially became an adult member of the pack, the young Serpentine shed his pup name, Ivy Spore and chose the name Narinæ during the Ceremony of Self overseen by the pack's Circle.
At the ceremony's end he took the long trip to the Ancestor's Grove with his brother where they communed with their sire and dam Twisting Ivy, and Briar Sedge along with the many other passed members of their beloved pack.
As heir to the title of Alpha Wolf, Emberin was expected to choose a mate from the offspring of the pack's Circle and she did just that. It wasn't hard as she and Narinae had been close as pups
Narinae has an affable enough nature, but he's prone to weariness. Emberin tries to care for him, but she's often very busy with her duties as Alpha. The two spend as much time together as possible, but the Serpantine is surprised when they have a moment of peace together.
Since the pack's move to The Glacier, Nar has changed his role from hunter to pupsitter. From the freezing temperatures to the increasing polar bear confrontations he's more comfortable looking after the youngsters including his own daughter, the tentative heir to the Alpha title.
More and more the cold of the Glacier was getting to Narinæ's old bones. He could no longer watch over the pups in in care nor teach lessons with any attentiveness all of which the other pack members were willing to overlook based on the many years their Serpentine leader wolf had taken care of much and more. None of which Nar himself would disclose to Emberin.
Always the dependable and reliable Beta, Narinae went along letting his mate think him strong and without complaint until late one wolvden Autumn he just didn't rise from his slumber. Emberin returned to their icy den from her explorations at the sounding of her son's mournful howl mingled with those of the pupsitters. She was stricken.
Angry with herself for not being more attentive to her selfless mate, the fox pelted Alpha became completely obsessed with moving the pack out of the Glacier.
