After witnessing the fall of his beloved, Tomo, to a duel against the Shogun, Kazuha wandered and wandered, desperate to find the so called 'Land Of Chance'. This land was believed to hold the power of revival, only those with strong ambition could find the gates to the unknown realm... if it existed.

For months he trekked the highest of peaks, the vast of Sumeru's desert, the watery depths of Fontaine; all with a lifeless electro vision clutched in his hold. It was what left remained of Tomo. Finally, after countless of tire-filled months, Kazuha found himself standing in front of who they called 'The Sun's Demise'. Her eyes narrowed at Kazuha, almost as though she was judging him. The female then suddenly smiled, "Welcome, Kazuha. You requested I bring your loved one from the depths, correct? I will gladly do so, but for a price." Kazuha opened his mouth, daring to speak, "I'll do anything," he said with such determination. "Why, those eyes of yours, Kazuha. Aren't they gorgeous? It's beauty is of a maple leaf in fall. Say, how about your eyes for a revived soul. Do not fret, I'm only going to take your eye's bright red color, and will replace it with some blue ones. But do know you'll forever have to stay in this land, or be turned to nothing but ashes." Without hesitance, Kazuha nodded. He will be able to see Tomo again, alive and well.
