Púca

Named as her eyes reminded her mother of the little ghost creatures she would see back home. Puca had an odd aura about her that unsettled most of the other pups. Nerah wondered if she was born with some of the essence of her home land carried into this one. Although the other pups didn't quite like her, the herbalist, Oonagh, took a great interest in Puca and began teaching her the ways of taking care of the pack. Puca wondered would she ever be accepted as the one who will look after her pack, but Oonagh had great faith in her before she passed, and the young wolf took on the herbalist role in her stride.

As Púca grew older, powers began to manifest in her like her mothers. However, the land around her warped those powers slightly. She gained the ability to commune with the spirits and deities of this new world and not her mother's old one, leaving the ancient gods in the past and bringing to light new deities both dark and light. Although her mother did not like this blasphemous talk of new gods, Púca told stories to the new youngsters of the pack of these spirits and gods, and how they effected the world they lived in. Nerah began to wonder if her powers were connected, as well as to Nerah's own, to the strange dream world that she visited when Púca was conceived, and whether the dreamworld was warping her daughter's powers to a different kind.
