Biography
Seshem grew up in a long line of pack-less wolves. She felt no differently about it, though she often felt lonely when her mother died quite suddenly at the end of fall. Young and lonely, she found herself wandering the edges of Wapiti Run. She could smell traces of a large Pack and wondered what life there would be like.
She ran into a wolf with a limp and a grizzled muzzle. He immediately took to her, bringing her food and showing her the best place for shelter. His name was Nishiwe and though she had her misgivings, she couldn't help but fall for his spoils and kindness. He would stay with her sometimes and she basked in the companionship. However, she found herself dismayed when she realized she was pregnant. Nishiwe brought her extra food and took care of her and she couldn't decide if she was happy or not. She felt too young and she knew too little about Nishiwe.
When Kiolao was born in the dead of winter, Nishiwe seemed strangely eager to see she had given birth to a son. He made the mistake of admitting to her that his current mate had only given him a daughter and he was getting too old to wait for another litter. She was heartbroken and nearly abandoned him, but she knew she couldn't take care of Kiolao alone in the cold. She waited some time, allowing him to bring her food and shelter still, but her mood had shifted considerably. She felt sad and dejected most days and her poor son began to model her moods as he grew.
She realized that she wanted her son to have a Pack though and grow up more respectably than she did. She brought Kiolao and arrived in Wapiti Run unannounced. Nishiwe was eager to have his son in the Pack and ignored his older daughter. His mate was quietly angry and weary to realize. Seshem keeps to herself most days and rejects any moments that Nishiwe tries to speak with her.
She has taken up in Fern Bed Creek, where she has offered to watch puppies in an effort to gain the Pack's trust. Most wolves pin the blame on Nishiwe anyway. She instead grew close with a wolf named Dawako, who became very fond of her. After a few weeks, they became pair-bonded and Seshem was able to experience what real love is supposed to be like. Though Kiolao still suffers from his puphood, Seshem is on her way to being better for him and any future pups.
Dawako and Seshem finally gave birth to their own litter, making Kiolao a big brother, a role he actually seems to enjoy. Their pups, Agotweh, Shaya and Aodeh, are a never-ending joy for the Pack, especially alongside Diyoh's Aweiyo.
