Biography
Piarbonded to Ilvarek
When the young wolf joined the Blood Song Pack the elders would look at her and see something eerily familiar.
No one believed in actual rebirth but it came closest to describing what they saw.
Like most outsider wolves Tahlessa moved into the Varikum, where she taught puppies basic survival skills and honed her hunting abilities.
Not even two years in the pack and she was ready to move out of the Varikum and into the Northern Reaches, having earned herself a proper name, Tahlessa.
The moment it became clear Tahlessa would be the next leader, no matter what Adra Dural wanted for her son, Adra Dural knew she had only a few weeks to prepare Tahlessa to take the lead.
However, Adra Dural worried about bestowing the title upon an outsider. What if the pack wouldn't accept her? What if others tried to take her place, causing infighting and unnecessary suffering?
But there was no need to worry, like Ilvarek, the pack had taken a real liking to the young wolf. Given the time she had already spent in the pack and all the hunting she had done for them, they no longer be considered her an "Outsider".
During their first talks about the future of the pack, it became clear to Adra Dural that Tahlessa recognized the same problems for the future as she did.
Most of the pack's hunters were well past their prime and would either follow their leader when she left this realm or were already awaiting her passage behind the veil.
The current hunting parties mostly consisted of young wolves with great potential but lacking experience. Therefore, the pack would face a time of less prey and many a futile hunt.
The first months of Tahlessa's reign tested the pack's loyalty to their young leader. Countless pups did not make it to their adolescence, and those few that managed to survive till adulthood would leave the pack in an attempt to increase their own and the pack's chances for survival.
