Ezau was surprised when she was chosen to be her father's heir. She wasn't particularly pretty like her other siblings, but she was one of the well-trained. Her parents were getting on in their age when she was born and an heir had yet to be chosen, and with her lack of beauty, her parents told her point-blank, that she'd at least need to be skilled to attract a mate. Because of this, she had a bit of a falling out with her parents and, more often than not, was found with her aunts and uncles. Her relationship with a large portion of her family isn't what many would exactly call the best, but they are civil. The current breeding male - and her elder brother's mate - took her under his wing and taught her all he knew.
So yes, Ezau was very surprised when she was chosen as the heir. She wasn't the only Red/Orange/Yellow/Amber-eyed pup of the two, but the pack apparently favored her. And it may or may not have gone to her head these last few months. Being informed that a newcomer renamed Cad-Rmuw was her betrothed was a surprise, but not one she minded. Though she decided to take on his training herself, as while the age difference wasn't too big, he was still only an Adolescent when they met.
Ezau's reign as Queen was relatively quiet, without many troubles plaguing her or her mate. She's made a rather odd choice of making one of her elder pups; Bauxa her heir. With Bauxa already four years old, he's a bit of an odd choice to most of the pack, not to mention his aggressive personality. Though she'll never admit it, she chose him purely due to the fact that Bauxa and his bonded were not a love-match much like herself and Cad-Rmuw, but a much more political betrothal. And it pleases her that they already have a few good possible choices of heirs as well.
