Biography
Birth: 268
The young pup scampered happily about camp, chasing down that annoying fly who kept buzzing around her two toned ears. Tiny jaws snapped in the air whenever she jumped off the ground, determined to hunt down the tiny bug. She failed to notice how she was gradually slipping away from the safety of the larger wolves of her pack, traveling into the land she was kept from. Small paws matted the grass beneath her with each step and bound that the young critter took. Rocking back onto her hind legs, she suddenly sprung forward and closed her small mouth, successfully catching that bug.
Grinning triumphantly, the female licked her dark muzzle. White eyes darted around, worry beginning to overtake her expression. She had gone too far, unable to recognize the area or smell her pack. Pausing, she filled the petite lungs with a breath of air, a familiar scent causing the blue-ish gray nose to wiggle. She knew that smell; it was her father, the leader of her pack, Skua. Quickly, the small critter scampered after the faint scent, noisily running about until she saw the faint gray-ish pelt over a bush. "Pa!" Cried the pup as she darted forward only to whimper nervously seconds later.
The creature before her had smelled like her father, and almost looked like him if it wasn't for the elongated limbs and massive torso. It snarled sharply at the pup, causing her to stumble back fearfully. Lifting a mighty paw, it swiped at the young female and nicked her side. Wailing in pain, she quickly attempted to scamper off, wincing at each move that disturbed her new mark. Loud barks sounded from behind her, informing her that the beast had begun to give chase. Terrified, the short canine turned sharply and dove into a small hole. The air inside reminded her of the rabbits that the hunters of her pack would bring back, but the memory didn't last long as a growl grew behind her.
Pressing her red back against the furthest dirt wall, she whimper quietly with the hopes that the scary animal would grow bored and leave her. Instead, odd fuzzy paws scraped at the entrance to the hole, too big to reach in and drag out her small figure. Fearful tears began to run down her black cheeks, matting down the fur as she yipped frantically. Suddenly all she could hear was her own voice, resulting in her timidly opening her eyes to find the lack of limbs scratching at her hide.
"Is there someone there?" A huff sounded from outside the rabbit's den; it wasn't aggressive, faintly feminine, and incredibly tired. The pup slowly dragged her body towards the entrance, still stiff with fear. A shadow fell over the opening, an incredibly lean figure gazing down at the wide white eyes. "I though so. C'mon now. A rabbit's hole is no place for a pup." The female sighed again, as if it was common information.
Timidly, she crawled out of the dirt hole, forcing herself to stand on shaky paws. The elder wolf grimaced, pulling her head back as the scent of the youth's blood reached her noise. "You got hurt. Foolish pups, never obeying their sitters." Her lips dropped into a frown as she wailed, pressing her forehead against the large limb. "Alright, alright." The stranger shook her head, reaching down to grasp the the frail figure. Flowers pressed against her body as she was lifted off the ground, held firmly in the wolf's jaws.
The longer she padded, the quieter the pup got until tears stopped slipping from her eyes and she jerked with tiny hiccups. It took quite a bit for her to finally stop, placing the quiet bundle of fur on a pile of crisp grass. "W- what are you gonna do?" She stammered nervously as she watched the larger being rummage about in a divot.
"What do you think?" Was the only muffled reply, herbs filling her maw. Silently, she laid against the dried grass, tail inches under the rather sizable injury as she watched the green wolf. Minutes later she turned back with an odd bowl of some dark pink fluid. Gripping it in the front of her mouth, the female slowly dripped into onto her side to ooze down over the injury. She yipped, flinching away and earning a stern look which resulted in her returning to the spot. Finishing off the treatment with pressing leaves to her side, she smirked triumphantly at the work.
"Now then, tell me your name, pup." She ordered only to receive a slow and silent nod. She was too young to receive a proper name yet, only known by her red back stripe. "Juku." The female stated simply, earn a tilt of the youth's head. "That's way we'll call you then."
"Okay." Chirped the pup, thin tail swishing awkwardly. "What's your name?" Juku grinned with her short, pearly whites. The green wolf scoffed with the faintest of smiles. "Name's Imini. Now pay attention, pup. I plan to teach you a little something."
