Shadeleaf

Once a part of a prestigious pack in the mountains, Amaika felt an overwhelming pressure to follow in the pawsteps of her parents one day. It wasn't that she didn't think she could lead a pack, but her parents had done so much in their time and were highly revered by the rest of the pack. She wasn't sure if she could live up to that.

Her father wasn't so sure either. He was constantly on her tail about how she preferred to goof off with the other young wolves instead of sitting in on "important meetings", or ditching her advisor. Her mom tried to keep the peace between them, but one day the two were at each other's throats a little more literally. The sting of teeth breaking the skin of her neck was the last straw. She'd cast an apologetic glance at her mother before barreling past the onlooking pack.

Unlike the other times the young wolf had run off, this time she kept going. She didn't stop until she could no longer smell any trace of her father's pack. While resting well outside of the territory the wolf chose a new name for herself, something simple. From now on she would be known as Shadeleaf. A name taken from things in nature.

When she found the strength, Shadeleaf started wandering. She wanted to be as far away from the mountains as possible. It took nearly a month to come across another wolf. Though the cool colored she-wolf was large and stoic, Shadeleaf seemed to win her over. When a third wolf joined, they decided they would officially call themselves a pack.

Within the course of that week, the Savvin Pack grew to five grown wolves and two pups. Nothing had gone wrong yet, and Shadeleaf found herself at ease with her new family.

After putting an ancient spirit to rest, Shadeleaf found it difficult to stay in the forest. She'd wake up in a cold sweat. No matter where she went, she could feel old eyes watching her from the shadows. Unable to shake her unease, Shade talked with her pack. Some of them also haven't been able to rest easy since that time. And so after four years of building a family among the deciduous trees, the Savvin Pack re-rooted to the nearby riparian woodland.
Shadeleaf hopes this is far away enough for the pack to thrive once more.
