Biography
When he was still young, it was decided that Lion would take over the Mossy Hollow pack after his great great grandmother, Cub. Slate had personally trained and spent time with him, teaching strategy and basic herbalism, leadership skills and building on Lion's inherent strengths.
Slate noticed little Lark always by Lion's side, when Lion was still young and out training with Slate alone, he confidently declared that Lark would be his mate when they grew up.
So they were trained together, Cub, Slate, Marsh Reed, Fir Cone, Chalcedony, the wise and experienced wolves of the pack all made sure to spend time with Lion and Lark, giving them the skills they would need to keep the pack together and strong.

In the lesson today, Lion and Lark learned how strategy can be useful when hunting in a group and trying to chase a big prey animal like Slate pretended to be. With group coordination and a perfectly timed call, Lark was able to tackle the pretend-elk to the ground.
Lion tested out some killing techniques on the carcass. Falling Leaves explained which methods take the most strength, but are also the quickest, which saves energy and spares the prey from suffering.
Slate instructed Lion to be careful with herbs, as not all the parts could be used for medicines and it was also dependent on their growth cycle. Lion learned when and where to gather the most necessary herbs.
