Usooyos

The pup of Ourkan and Illiamna. Illiamna was a scout from the Doods lake pack, who brought Tarka (formerly known as Arka) back to her family after a brief misunderstanding.

As per Xaasa and Ourkan's arrangements, Ourkan is allowed to be the donor for wandering wolves' litters, so long as the expectant mothers don't expect to stay in the pack.

When an adult Tarka visited her birth pack a year later, two young wolves came with her, Ourkan's pup, and her closest friend Kasba. Xaasa and Ourkan greeted Usooyos warmly, and allowed her and her friend to stay for a while, to learn about where she came from.

As she comes from the Doods lake pack, her name is based off of Osooyos lake. To wolves, this is an unusual, but not too "out there" kind of name. It sounds like a howl, and the meaning of the letters are: "A trusting and pretty, very wise wolf, with leadership potential, who also looks older than she is."
