Weston

Born in a wolf-dog breeding facility in the outskirts of Wyoming on the border of Colorado, Weston was made out to be the prized stud of the next generation of wolf-dog hybrids. He was weaned impossibly young, taken from his mother to be raised with dogs and humans so his 'wild' side would not become too much to bear. His name was Honey, for the rich coat he carried. 

While being raised in a human environment, he would be introduced to his future mate Roman, a less desirable male that was to be sold. Together they managed to hold fast to their wolf heritage, creating a small insular pack amongst all the strange canines that surrounded them. 

Meanwhile, the two young adolescents' worlds were about to forever changed when the cattle rustlers that frequently brought fresh sheep to the facility had enough without being paid. The cowboys decided to take their payment into their own hands, and snatched Weston. In the fighting, neither party noticed that Roman had slunk out of the kennel by Weston's side, who was snarling and fighting over the leash around his neck.

The bonded pair were put to quick use herding sheep. They were trained well, and they found it to be second nature. Weston would learn to answer to his name, as well as Roman his. They stayed with the cowboys until they were about a year old, when they decided to strike off on their own and establish a new territory. 

Weston is deeply weary of humans as well as other wolves. Those who he does allow into his pack are generally outcasts, or those who show their submissiveness.
