With her natural speed it is unsurprising she was a skilled hunter of the pack. Though her impulsiveness did get her in trouble from time to time.

Snow and Opal spent most of their early days in the pack hunting alongside each other. They enjoyed each other's company greatly, even if their personalities clashed from time to time.


History

Opal had spent most of her life alone. She lived with her parents and their pack when she was younger sure, but once she got older, she began to wish for a new life, with a new pack where she could have pups and make friends. Deciding to impulsively follow this dream, she left her pack. She traveled... and traveled... and traveled... but she rarely found other packs, and the ones she did find had no interest in her.

Starting to lose hope, she makes her way to the mountains. This is where she meets Jet and his pack. Jet, Mud, and Snow greet her brightly, and when they offer her a home, she takes it without a second thought. She enjoys her role in the pack, hunting alongside Snow, acting as a bit of a jack of all trades, and taking any role in the hunt that is needed.

Over this time, Jet and Opal get closer, she feels a connection to him. The two begin to dream of pups, often talking about them. When they learn of Mud's infertility, both she and Jet agree to help Mud and his mate, Snow. Jet helps Snow fall pregnant. One month later Opal falls pregnant herself. Giving birth to three pups, Fire, Ash, and Charcoal, all boys.

She looks after them until they are weaned, then goes back to hunting. She trusts Mud to look after her pups for her. All three pups make it to adults, becoming charming members of the pack. Her son Fire chose to become a hunter, and Opal enjoys hunting beside her son.

In her final months, Opal and Jet found a young pup living with Lillemor. Feeling the desire to raise one more pup before she passed, she and Jet took them in. They named the pup Coral, and he became the fourth son of their family.

Opal was lucky enough to meet her grandchildren before she passed, her two sons Fire and Charcoal having pups of their own. Opal couldn't have been prouder and felt so lucky to meet her new kin.

On the 7th year and 6th month of her life, Opal made her way to the mountains summit. Bear keeping her company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky Opal was peacefully taken by the pull of the afterlife.
