Flowerpetal was a capable little girl who knew her future would be bright if she listened to her elders and learned as much as she could. She always stuck close to her mom and pupsitter Brightheart and tried to do everything they did. That sometimes led her into trouble, like the time helping to dig an expansion to the Nursery seemed like a good idea. The resulting cave-in took days to clean up. But Flower learned from her mistakes and got smarter and wiser every day.

At the Academy, Flower was an enthusiastic student and always tried to get as much out of her lessons as she could. Her elders assigned her to study smarts and wisdom, to prepare her for stalking work. Brightheart determined that her other stats were good enough and she was well-behaved enough that she should be allowed to choose her last lesson. She chose Bird Watching because it was the next closest thing to being a stalker like her mom. She even managed to catch one of the birds!

During her apprenticeship, Flower followed her mom on the trail and tried to get a handle on real stalking work. It was hard, but Stream was great at her job and just watching her taught Flower a lot. There are complexities in stalking work that even other hunters aren't fully aware of. For a while, Flower was afraid that she may have bitten off more than she could chew. But the more paws-on experience she gained, the more comfortable she became. Eventually, she was stalking for the hunters on her own, under mom's supervision of course. Flower's elders praised her good work and encouraged her to keep it up.

Now as an adult, Flower still tries to follow her mother's example. But now she knows how to do it the right way, by being a caring packmate and a steadfast hunter. Her stalking work keeps her busy all day and she's still enthusiastic about it. When she gets home in the evening, she's just as zealous about having a good time. She's always the one to start a round of drinks or a howling song. Even when hunting hasn't gone well, she doesn't let it get her down.

No one knows exactly how Lightningleap and Flowerpetal became a couple. Some say that their eyes met when they both bent down to lick up spilled fermented barley. Others insist that the first spark flew when Flower came to Lightning's clinic with a hunting injury. There's also a third much stranger story involving the Pack's graveyard and a wisp. But what everyone can agree on is that Flower and Lightning are an absolutely adorable and very funny couple.
