Nico had been wandering the land on his own, having left his birth clan to find a place of his own. Admittedly, the decision was a difficult one for several reasons--namely, being alone meant having to do everything yourself. Nico was a bit of a lazy one. But the result seemed promising enough to convince him.

Not much time had passed before Nico ran into a hostile, young wolf. He was quite amused, especially once he learned the other's name... Mico. However, Mico seemed quite annoyed. So young and full of anger, but all of Mico's mean words simply rolled off of Nico's back. He was terribly unimpressed. Yet intrigued as the younger wolf simply stuck around. Nico wasn't bothered by it, although this was not how he imagined things would go.

Finally, they reached the territory of the Chromatic Souls pack, and agreed to stick around--well, Nico agreed, it seemed like a great pack to stay with, temporarily or forever. Mico simply agreed to not get separated from Nico, but the slightly older wolf made sure Mico would do his tasks, and he was surprised at how good of a Scout his partner was.

Nico does not have significant plans, and is quite content with where they're at. However, he is not opposed to traveling along some day, and is thankful for the openness of this current pack. Regardless of future decisions, Nico does his best to be a part of this pack, and is proving his own scouting skills regularly.

As years passed, the two of them had grown quite adjusted to their pack--although, Nico more so than his grumpy mate. Regardless, Nico made a conscious effort to help his younger mate find a comfortable place within the pack and encouraged him to bond with the other pack members, as they were part of their family now.
Unenthusiastic at first, Mico did his mate the 'favor' and began getting along more with the individual wolves around the pack--and he would be grateful for it many times.

Before Nico's eventual passing, he was quite joyful as he and Mico were allowed a litter of puppies in their pack. Nico had become respectably old by then, he was even concerned he may never actually see his children--but he did and they spent as much time together as they could.

He did not have many regrets when the time came, and he was mostly indulged in happy memories--although, his one big regret would not leave his side; leaving Mico behind. Mico wasn't too much younger than Nico, but he would certainly be around for another few years and Nico could only hope his endearingly grumpy mate had found a stable enough place within the pack to not get lost in sadness. Though, Nico was sure their litter of puppies would keep him busy, as well as company.
