Eclipse was a wolf who always lived in Deftari's shadow. No matter what he did, Deftari got all the praise for being the Pack Leader's brother. When Deftari was chosen as the pack stud, Eclipse dared not say a word about it. He would grieve in silence, for he had hoped to become mates with one of the pack's female wolves. Black Bear and Eclipse had been supportive of each other ever since they had joined the Miakoda pack, growing closer with each passing moon.
At the time, all wolves could only breed to the stud. While this rule would change, Eclipse was forced to deal with the fact that due to his age he would likely never see pups of his own. There was, however, a bright side. Black Bear had accepted his request to pair bond, and they would come to adopt 4 pups together.
Though Eclipse passed on, his mate lived on and supported their pups.
