Thao was brought in at the same time as Ayu, but was adopted by Alax and Siske. While he loved his new parents very much, he was also very close with his grandmother Queone. He is very good friends with Ayu despite his moods and is often very trusting of others. He is intended to be a Lead Hunter one day once the current leaders retire.

One day while hunting, he and his patrol found a young wolf names Aosi wandeirng the lands alone. She was confused and lost from a storm - he offered her a place to return to and recover. He felt protective over her as she stayed. She willingly offered to help with puppies. After completing his duties, he would stop by and talk with her. Since both were naturally trusting, it was not hard for them to grow close. She shared with him that her brother was actually dead - she just hadn't wanted to admit it to herself. He was quick to offer she stay permanently. He was elated when she said yes.
