Tagua are plant elephants!

Tagua missed his mother. It was more than the usual mother-pup bond, and more than the namesake. He genuinely missed her as a friend, as a role model. His pup-set should have been understanding, but they weren't, really. That hurt, and so he was glad he did not work with them, nor among wolves liable to be unpleasant.

Ajur was that, though he was good at getting things done. Even from a young age, he plodded about trying to help an elder or fix a nest or even follow a healer leaving to forage. At one point, Tagua admired that, but no more. Friendship was more important, more crucial, to Tagua than tasks.

Once Enigma and Char's children arrived onto the hunting team, Tagua was overjoyed. Siblings were a rarity among the Snow Hearts, generally a rule imposed to keep population reasonable. Tagua privately disagreed and did his best to make Scorch and Singe feel appreciated, welcomed, and generally like they were a part of the team. Crimson was also a good comrade and had an open heart for everyone. So Tagua adored her, and ensured she was treated well to the best of his ability.

Yet the hole in Tagua's heart for his mother's company could not be filled. Or so he thought...
