After leaving his former pack to join the Shifting Silhouettes and refusing to tell the full story of why, Amber Tail had endured a long trip through the harsh and unforgiving mountains to get to the den of his new pack, of which greeted him with bared teeth and curious stares. Over time as he got used to his new environment, becoming skilful in scaling the snowy mountainsides, he began to impress the lead female, who warmly accepted him as her mate, and the stud of the pack. He bore several litters, and had a strong trust with his fellow Shadows. Loving how clumsy and sweet pups were, he pitched in to help the mothers take care of them, and after some training as a scout, took on pup sitting as his official role in the pack alongside Bee Pine, his good friend.
A sweet and caring father, he loves to play and teach pups about the world, watching them as they attempt their 'first real hunts' on tiny insects they find around the den. He is considerate, and although he doesn't always show it, he cares about the wolves in his pack very dearly.
