Rook Atacama

One of two of the founders of Rakuyo Pack, Rook Atacama was a charming young male when he met Nephie, a female of similar age who had just dispersed from her parents' pack. Fascinated by her adventurous nature, they would team up to explore the continent, and eventually settle in the mountains.
Working together to build the pack up from the ground up, Rook would use his amiable personality to draw in other lone wolves, who would later find a home with the Atacamas. As the pack grew, so too did Rook's pride in his new family.
Having been at each other's side through famine and disease, sweet spring afternoons, and the arrival of new faces from near and far, Rook and Nephie would become forever entwined after years of friendship, continuing to lead the pack together.
After many years of thriving among the pack they had built together, Rook and Nephie both began to grow old. As they slowed down, they spent more time with the members of the family they'd grown, often telling stories to the young ones, and napping together in the sun.
It was on a late fall afternoon that Rook awoke to find that Nephelina had passed in her sleep, finding her laying stiff next to him. Stricken with grief at the loss of his most beloved partner, Rook rapidly began to grow ill. It was only a few days later that he himself passed in his sleep, joining Nephie in the afterlife.
In his absence, his great-great-great grandaughter, Corone, would take his place at the helm of the pack. A natural born leader, Corone's charming and amicable personality, not unlike that of Rook himself, had left an impression on him.
