Maddox was the first member of the Etheral Howlers, Tala had led Kazana to him, and for Maddox, it was love at first sight. Not so much for Kazana, as she was not focused on such a frivolous thing and dreamt of helping lone wolves and wanted to establish a successful pack before anything else. Kazana did end up falling in love with Maddox, and even though they could not have children of their own they adopted many lost pups.
