Russetfrost

As a young wolf, Russetfrost, then Russetpaw, could only watch as her pack was dragged into battle after battle. Repeated harsh winters had the neighboring packs - namely the Scattered Stone pack - antsy for more room to hunt, and ready to seize that room by any means.

Russetpaw and her mother, Swiftmoon, ran from the pack for safety. Swiftmoon raised them to be a strong warrior, granting her child the name Russetfrost. Mere months later, she fell ill and passed away. 

Russetfrost wandered for days until she came across the clearing that would become her pack's home, where she encountered Vixenfall, a childhood friend from her old home in the Rainfall pack. A few days passed before they happened across a grey wolf named Slate, who later took the name Slateshade. With the three of them together, Russetfrost took the lead, and eventually found themself leader of a growing pack. She declared them the Swiftmoon pack, named in honor of their mother.

One day, many moons into leadership, Russetfrost came across a pair of foxes on a patrol. Unlike other creatures they'd encountered, these foxes showed no fear; they approached cautiously, asking for refuge. They pleaded with the wolf, sharing how their den had been overrun and they only wanted a safe place for their kits. Russetfrost, reminded of many of the wolves she'd taken in to the pack, invited them to return with her. The calmer of the two, Gingersnap, thanked them profusely while her mate, Toadstool, ran off and returned with their kits, Cottongrass and Bearberry.

Their first litter, two chased wolves once named Willow and Dewclaw, were born on January 23, 2021. Their father is Slateshade.

Her second litter, Kestrelsong, Puddlesplash, a wolf once named Daisypaw, and a wolf once named Owlpaw, were born on February 25, 2021. Their father is 🌠Dawnstar.

Her third litter, four chased wolves once named Pod, Otter, Yarrow, and Nut, were born on March 21, 2021. Their father is Titus.

Her fourth litter, Hickorybush, Berrypounce, Furzeleap, Wildrunner, and Flowerbeam, were born on October 3, 2022. Their father is Wildberry.
