A pale-coated figure approached the sleeping pupsitter, forcing her eyes to pry open and look up at the Alpha she had come to know so well. She had been a pupsitter for this pack for several moons now and only recently did she manage to ruin her reputation. One of the Alpha's most cherished pups ended up getting killed while under her watch and things hadn't been the same for her since. The Alpha's harsh, icy gaze was glued to her and Friede accepted her fate, moving to sit slowly with her ears laid back flat against her head. She knew all too well what this meant for her, even without the use of words. "I understand..." Her own words were soft as she moved calmly to her feet and began heading away from the pack she had grown to care for.
Being on her own wasn't too terrible, although the female's main threat was her own self-doubt and regret for what had happened to the pup she was trained to look after. Her paws ached and grew heavy as she continued on her journey, her eyes focused on the forest floor before her as foreign territories inched closer with passing days. Her hunger signaled to her once again in the pit of her stomach and she knew soon she'd either starve or be forced to scavenge for something to eat. A sigh left her muzzle and she halted her steps from continuing as she thought about the options forced onto her. There was no one to blame but herself for being cast out and now she was going to have to face the consequences of being a deficient pupsitter.
Just as she was about to continue forward, a scent wafted towards her and a moment later a rather large dark wolf emerged from the brush, his hazel eyes meeting her orange. Friede knew there'd be no way for her to win in a fight in her current state and her tail wagged carefully behind her. The male's eyes narrowed at the sight and a slight growl left his chest. "Come." His voice was rough and low and just as quickly as he appeared, he turned and headed back the way he came. The lilac female wasn't sure what to think of the male or his command but found her paws obediently carrying her in his direction. It didn't take long for the male to lead her to a small clearing with a few dens, one of the dens seemed full of activity and Friede was surprised to see a young litter of pups playing inside. "You're their sitter now. Don't make me regret this." The Alpha threatened with a growl as he headed to speak with another male with ginger fur, obviously having just returned from scouting. The pups continued playing between her legs and a small smile moved onto her face as she thought of the sudden luck she had been blessed with. Maybe now she'd finally be able to put things in her past to rest and start a new life here, doing what she favored most.
