Tio

Born to a senior mother, Tio often had more energy than her mother, Appalachia. Her mother was still the herbalist when she was born, but a few months after Tio was older, Appalachia retired to spend as much time with her daughter as she could. Those were the best months that Tio could remember, spending her mornings playing in the creek with Ame, the pup of Sioto. Afternoons were napping in the warm autumn sun with her mother, and the evenings, spent playing with her father Dioute when he returned home from patrolling.

It was shortly after she moved into the pup den that her mother passed away in her sleep. After that, she grieved greatly. She didn't know her siblings well before that, but when their mother died, she got to know them much better as they came together to help care for her and her shattered father. She learned many important survival skills from her older brothers, Conoco and Pocono, as well as some softer tactics from Sipo and Allegewi. She would tell her sister Kia about her days and lay in the sun with her like their mother.

As she grew older, her father became more available again and would take her on walks with young elk or on their own. He was elderly and slower, but she appreciated his stories and leadership. She loved being with the group of wolves in her den - Ame was her closest friend, followed by the foundlings Ixi and Wisah. After the following death of her father and the founding Alpha, Tio found fellowship with her brothers and sister, as well as her den mates. She became close with Onengo, a pupsitter, and after spending a lot of time with him, they pair-bonded. She feels happy and content, even if grief lingers.
