🐾Aridaz

Fourth born of five pups, four male. Three aggressive, two stoic.

Aridaz was a prideful pup. He knew he was "a cut above" his peers. Aridaz was not loud with his opinion. Well, not that one, at least. He expected to join a hunting squad immediately.

He was disappointed. Instead, Ioa eyed him and sent him off to the Far Edges. A position to safeguard knowledge was available and who better to fulfill such a need? Aridaz would have snapped about it, but his Scout-mate sat on him. Mint Wrath had no patience for fluff (no, not the packmate!). Rai, barely older, showed self-restraint and so she was not sat on. That did nothing to improve Aridaz's general mood.

The worst thing was the annoying wolf, Erg, became finisher of a team not more than one month after Aridaz was assigned. Prior, all Erg did was trail Aridaz. Then, she showed him up. Ugh! At least his brother, Sol Junior, was not such a tail. Junior took after Sol Senior so well it was astonishing. Aridaz did not envy his brother, and relished the fact he could feel more like an individual in comparison. Aridaz was not the least bit surprised when the ducat-dappled sibling set out to make his mark on the world at large.

Aridaz didn't miss Junior... much.

Puppy Training"During the lesson: 🎯Char talked about the differences between hunting alone and hunting in a pack. Sol Junior listened carefully, trying to imagine the best role for himself in a hunting squad.

During the lesson: To 🐾Aridaz's surprise, 💜Sol found him quite quickly today. 🐾Aridaz was reminded to mind his tail while hiding, because energetic wagging can be easily heard and seen.

During the lesson: 💜Inagua explained to 🐾Aridaz how wet fur is not a good idea, especially in the winter. She demonstrated how to find rocks and dry patches to cross a creek or a river instead of swimming across it."

"During the lesson: Sol Junior yawned, waiting for any bird at all to come. He didn't know if the nesting material was wrong or if it was something else, but figuring it out makes for a valuable lesson."

"During the lesson: Sol Junior learned that specific plant parts do different things, and how only taking certain bits that the pack needs for remedies won't damage the entire plant. This will conserve resources and allow the plant to be used in the future."

"During the lesson: 💜Sol played the role of the prey today. 🐾Aridaz, along with his littermates, had to plan a strategy to remain undetected."

"During the lesson: 💜Sol checked 🐾Aridaz's progress through a chasing test. 🐾Aridaz had to avoid being caught, which seemed completely impossible, but he wisely used all the tricks and feints to gain an advantage."
