From the start Vasili didn't want to be Chieftain. For one it required far more of him then he was interested in giving, additionally he had always assumed that his sister would be chosen to succeed Helios from the way his father seemed to favor her. Yet, he still became lead. With this, possibly out of spite, he declared a new title for all future tribe leaders. Afterwards - not much happened as far as he was involved. Sure he tried to ignore all outsiders but of course Bren wouldn't allow it. So. Vasili just sat back, adorning himself in royal attire while Dux Bren took control.
Although Helios had a primary role in populating the tribe, he personally had very little interest. It wasn't until his later years around 5 that he found himself a beautiful young empress.
